Our taught Masters programmes each follow a similar route as they consist of 2 semesters of lectures and tutorials with exams at the end of each semester. Students then have the summer months to complete a dissertation of around 15,000 words. The majority of our Masters courses are one year in length although some are 2 years long due to the requirement that a longer dissertation be completed.

All departments are research active and almost 50% of our students are working towards the completion of a PhD. Many of these students are fully funded by the University. For example, last year we were able to fund almost 50 PhD candidates in the faculties of Arts and Divinity alone.
