Nottingham city centre is only a short distance from the main campus by bus or bike. The city enjoys a legendary club scene with much of the action happening in the stylish Lace Market. For live music, there is Nottingham Arena, Rock City and The Social, which showcases new bands. The Corner house is a huge entertainment complex featuring restaurants, bars and a multiscreen cinema. In contrast, The Screen Room is the UK's smallest cinema with only 21 seats! The city is great for shopping, was recently named Culinary Capital of the UK, and is steeped in history and culture.

On campus, the Students' Union runs its own cinema and hosts more than 240 societies and sports clubs. Students are invited to get involved in the Union's magazine, award-winning radio station, and student TV station.
