University Of Hertfordshire Overview
The University of Hertfordshire has recently opened the new £120million de Havilland campus to compliment the existing campus on College Lane, allowing the University to operate as a single campus. The new campus houses the Schools of Humanities and Education along with the Business School. The venue includes state-of-the-art facilities such as the £15million Hertfordshire Sports Village complete with all the latest gym equipment, a 25-metre swimming pool and an impressive range of sports pitches; the campus also boasts its own learning resources centre as well as the eye-catching new 460-seat auditorium.
Hertfordshire is an increasingly popular choice for young people looking to study at degree level. Since 2002 UCAS applications to the University have risen dramatically by 57%. The University of Hertfordshire's courses aim to be as flexible as possible, with over a quarter of students studying part-time.
The University has recently invested in a wide range of services and student resources on its campuses. The University’s three Learning Resources Centres make full use of developments in technology. A building of four floors houses the Hatfield College Lane Learning Resources Centre, with 1,600 study places and 800 computer workstations.
