University Of Greenwich Overview
The University of Greenwich offers the best of both worlds, city and country. As a student you would be on the doorstep of London, but we also offer the cream of Kent - rolling hills, pub-to-pub walks, seaside resorts and Canterbury Cathedral - not far away. The university has three campuses: Avery Hill, in the south-east London district of Eltham; Greenwich; and Medway, at Chatham Maritime, Kent.
What's on Offer
The University offers a wide range of modern student facilities, including state-of-the-art computing suites and lecture theatres. The libraries have an extensive collection of books, together with expert media support staff. The university bookshop has a wide range of core course texts and a ‘virtual bookshop’ offers on-line access and armchair ordering. The student JobShop and the Office of Student Affairs are on campus and the services they provide include careers advice and guidance and opportunities for part-time and vacation employment, as well as opportunities to volunteer.
Accommodation
The University can offer Halls of Residence to its students on the three main campuses-all of which are either complete new build projects or modern refurbishments offering high specification study-bedrooms, equipped to the latest standards. Students will often have a choice of accommodation from single study-bedrooms in self-contained, self catering flats to studio apartments with en-suite kitchens and bathrooms – the exact nature of each of the halls and their facilities varies from location to location.
