The Learning Centre on the Kedleston Road site provides students with library and IT facilities with access to the internet and has around 300 workstations. You will also have access to a range of computer-based and other resources specially designed to support your studies. These include video and audio-visual material.

The Learning Centre also has 1,100 study places, facilities for group work and both formal and informal seating for private study. You are able to print, copy and prepare assignments for submission, and even video yourself in practice for oral presentations. The Learning Centre also provides links to smaller centres and resources on other university sites, in academic departments and to halls of residence. Many of its services and resources are available online so you can access information from anywhere.

You will have access to computing facilities at all sites in open access computer laboratories. Specialist computing resources are available for individual programmes, for example for Graphic Design and Computing students. The University campuses are fully networked and broadband links are available in rooms in the halls of residence. You'll have your own email account and free access to the Internet.
