The centre of student life is the restored Tanlaw Mill overlooking one of the town's parks. Here the Refectory is open for hot meals and snacks, while the Student Bar offers the cheapest beer and latest opening hours around. On the first floor of the Mill there are a Games Room and Television lounge, as well as 'the Studio' for fitness classes. The second floor houses the well equipped Fitness Suite, Snooker club, Table Tennis Room and Students' Union office. The Events Officer supports the many societies in putting on social events, and live music is arranged in the Bar, plus trips to clubs in Oxford and Milton Keynes.
