The University of Bedfordshire was established in August 2006 and our excellent academic reputation is built on the achievements of the University of Luton and DMU’s Bedford campus. The University of Bedfordshire is rated 3rd in the UK for Media courses and 12th for Sport courses according to 2007 the Guardian newspaper league tables. In addition, a £45m investment programme is almost complete with both campuses benefiting from extensive redevelopment.

We are proud of our excellent teaching record and this deserved reputation is based on our outstanding performance in official inspections, conducted on behalf of the Government by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA). The University of Bedfordshire received ‘excellent’ scores in a number of subjects including Sport, Media, Education, Design and Nursing and has also been given outstanding Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted) reports.
