Social and sporting facilities are outstanding and the Students’ Association funds over 150 clubs and societies. There are clubs for all sorts of sports, ranging from football and karate to boxing and underwater hockey. There is also a wide variety of cultural societies catering for the diversity of our international students, numerous political, spiritual, theatrical and subject-based societies, and more unusual ones like the street drumming society or capoeira. All of these hold regular events and socials and provide excellent opportunities for students to meet like-minded people, make friends and make the most of university life.
We also have a busy university music programme, with the opportunity to perform in the orchestra, choral society, chapel choir or concert band to name but a few. And you can always just go along to listen!
