The Sterling College London Foundation Year Programme is designed for international students who would like to continue their studies outside thier country. This programme offers an accelerated and comprehensive preparation course to gain entry to the undergraduate and graduate courses at Access College or one of the major universities in UK, USA and other countries. The students who would like to study this programme are required to prove a minimum "Intermediate Level of English" with IELTS 5.0 or TOEFL 475/150. If they they have not taken an IELTS or TOEFL test before they will be given a free "English Language Level 1 Test" on arrival. Those with insufficient level of English will be first placed on our General English courses. Below is a listing of some of the language courses we are currently offering. Please note that this list is only meant to give an indication and is by no means exhaustive. The programme consist of 12 weeks intensive Academic English followed by 24 weeks of an ABE Certificate level course of your choice and a 4 week University Preparation course. These cover the following subject groups: IELTS Introduction to Business Introduction to Accounting Introduction to Business Communication Introduction to Travel, Tourism and Hospitality University Preparation including Research Methods, Essay Writ Skills, Presentation Skills, Information Technology and Introduction to UK/US Culture On successful completionof the programme, you will have the knowledge and confidence to meet the demands of the university study in UK and USA and you will have an excellent foundation in your chosen ABE Certificate programme. This will prepare you for entry to the graduate courses at Sterling College London or an ABE partner University in UK, USA and other countries.
