Course Description
To provide a theoretical and practical introduction to the visual arts. The module is intended to utilise the varied backgrounds of the students and to develop skills in observation, communicating and presenting ideas and images through traditional and digital formats. The aim is to create an awareness, understanding and appreciation of art, design and composition making. The students are introduced to design methods, principles and ideas-generating techniques, as well as the importance of critical appraisal in design.
