Course Description
This degree is structured around academic subjects and work-based learning. Their studies will allow students to develop an appreciation of engineering principles and their application and identify technical competencies using a wide range of personal and professional skills. The course is ideal if they would like to, or are currently working in the metals industry. The programme is normally taken over six semesters and comprises a combination of core and elective modules.

Entry Requirements
Candidates having a wide range of qualifications will be considered by the admissions team, which normally include an appropriate Advanced Apprenticeship or Advanced Vocational qualification. In addition, they should have GCSE passes or equivalent in English and Mathematics. If they are a mature applicant without any of the above formal qualifications they will be invited for interview with a member of academic staff, to see if their experience and qualifications will be suitable
