Course Description
From canals and railways to housing, quarrying and mining, the North West of England is rich in industrial archaeology. We will start by examining the evidence and finding out about contemporary technological ideas and manufacturing developments, we will then try to interpret what it reveals. Our detective work will continue as we work out how this fits into what we know of national and local developments during periods of rapid change.
