Course Description
This course is about challenging the boundaries that surrounds the subject and teach from the perspective that illustrators can incorporate aspects of both design and fine art. Students explore the aspects of narrative, storyboarding for both print and screen based media and go on to create graphic novels or full animations. They learn the basic skills used by illustrators and gain an understanding of the subject, looking at the ways in which illustrators have worked in the past and how they work now.

Entry Requirements
You must have:5 GCSE passes at grade C or above or equivalent including English and an Art & Design subject,Plus at least one of the following:2 GCE A levels or AVCE in a relevant subject area such as Art & Design, Media, English, History, History of Art, Drama or Performance studies to provide a contextual background to your chosen area of study.BTEC National Diploma in an Art & Design related subjectDiploma in Foundation Studies in Art & DesignBTEC National Certificate in an Art & Design related subjectInternational or European BaccalaureateOther relevant and equivalent International qualificationsA previous Honours degree or other experience which gives evidence of suitabilityApplicants whose first language is not English should have an IELTS score in the range of 6.0 to 7.0, or a TOEFL score of 650 (paper based score) 250 (computer based score) or other equivalent.
