Course Description
The Fine Art pathway aims to nurture individuality and creativity. The first year relates theoretical & practical issues by evaluating contextual concerns in current artistic practice. The second year programme extends the theoretical & practical elements. There is normally an overseas fieldwork visit in Year 2. You plan your third year in consultation with tutors to work towards your chosen specialisation. You complete a personal dissertation. A final degree show provides a forum to present your work to a professional audience. There is an optional work placement for an extra year.

Entry Requirements
A National Diploma in Art & Design or an Advanced VCE in Art & Design or a Diploma in Foundation Studies or an Access to Art & Design course; A Portfolio of your existing work; Mature applicants (Over 21) may gain entry to the course subject to a successful interview. Applicants are interviewed where they offer non standard qualifications. The UCAS deadline for receiving 'on time' Route B art and design course applications from all applicants is 24 March 2008, but you should aim to apply by 7 March. Interviews are arranged in sequential order according to your course preferences.
