Course Description
Revered for its strength, beauty and versatility, paper has profoundly influenced Japanese culture, tradition and psyche and today is a sought-after medium for artists and top fashion designers. In this practical module you will learn of the significance of paper in Japanese society and be taught to make simple papers decorated with petals, leaves and gold. You will also create kites, lanterns and masks and produce the artwork for them.
