Course Description
On this course the student has to be successful in ten units, six of which are essential. Core Units: Design Principles and Application, Science and Materials, Analytical Methods, Management Principles and Application, Group Project and Health, Safety and Welfare. Specialist Units: Geology and Soil Mechanics, Civil Engineering, Construction and Site Surveying Procedures, Structural Analysis and Design, Engineering Mathematics, Law and Contract and Tendering and Estimating.

Assessment method
Assessment is by a mixture of assignment work and time-controlled coursework.
Entry Requirements
Candidates will need BTEC National Diploma/Certificate, A Level (minimum grade E), or a mature person with evidence of experience in Civil Engineering/Construction.
