Course Description
This course addressed the need for increasing numbers of highly skilled professionals in the chemical and process industry. This course was developed, and is delivered in partnership with industrial companies including BASF, Invista and Huntsman ICI. This Foundation Degree has been recognised by the Quality Assurance Agency. This course takes a flexible approach to learning and gives students the opportunity to gain the technical, vocational and management skills that are required by employers in this industry. Subjects covered include mathematics, chemistry, chemical processing, engineering and analytical instrumentation. Students may gain credit for relevant work experience. On successful completion of this course students have the opportunity to move on to the final year of an Honours Degree in Chemical Engineering or Applied Chemistry.
Course Fees
Year 1 (120 Level 1 Credits): £1,020; Year 2 (120 Level 2 Credits): £1,140. These fees are subject to change.
Entry Requirements
The entry criteria for Foundation Degrees are based on your ability to suceed on the programme. This can be demonstrated in a variety of ways including: a range of Level 3 qualifications (eg NVQ 3, BTEC Award, A Level); appropriate training through work. Some Foundation Degrees require you to be employed in an area relevant to your programme of study.
Venue Description
Childcare facilities are available on site. Early booking of sessions is strongly recommended due to high demand of limited places.
