Course Description
An honours course designed primarily for students who wish to pursue a broad-based, but in-depth science course which allows various degrees of specialisation. Students commonly study 2-5 subjects during the three years of the course, including subjects taken for the first time in the second year. The degree also caters for the requirements of many applicants who might be considering a joint honours course, in that combinations of two subjects may be taken throughout the course leading to a named route degree in those two subjects. Certain course combinations may not be compatible due to timetable constraints. It is possible to include subjects from other faculties, up to a maximum of one third of a degree and subject to timetable constraints. Principal Subjects: Anthropology, Applied Physics, Archaeology, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Earth Sciences, Electronic Engineering, Geography, Mathematics, Philosophy, Physics, Psychology.
