Course Description
This suite of programmes is designed to provide students with a high level of understanding of the design, function, construction and statutory requirements for buildings of all classes, and to prepare them for more advanced employment within the construction industry. The programme consists of a combination of core courses and optional courses which provide appropriate training in each case for technicians employed in architecture, building surveying, building control, building management or quantity surveying. The courses have been designed to include a significant practical element. Enrolment for the programme entitles students to become student members of the Chartered Institute of Building. It is also recognised, both nationally and internationally, by employers within the construction industry and may give access to a wide range of employment options, such as architecture, construction and estate management as well as surveying.

Entry Requirements
BTEC National Certificate/Diploma in Construction or Civil Engineering, AVCE (AGNVQ) in Construction and the Built Environment or one or more relevant HNC or A-level passes.
