Course Description
The course's units of study are designed to perform different functions enabling students to gain various creative, technical, visual and intellectual experiences and then further develop their understanding and knowledge of these experiences through actively doing. In level one students acquire fundamental making, technical and academic skills and knowledge, coupled with the exploration of design process, visual imagery and interpretation. Level two focuses on the wider role of model making in achieving effective realisation, interpretation and communication of design ideas. In level three students carry out more in-depth and complex projects in which they demonstrate their professional intent and direction.

Entry Requirements
You must have:5 GCSE passes at grade C or above or equivalent including English and an Art & Design subject,Plus at least one of the following:2 GCE A levels or AVCE in a relevant subject area such as Art & Design, Media, English, History, History of Art, Drama or Performance studies to provide a contextual background to your chosen area of study.BTEC National Diploma in an Art & Design related subjectDiploma in Foundation Studies in Art & DesignBTEC National Certificate in an Art & Design related subjectInternational or European BaccalaureateOther relevant and equivalent International qualificationsA previous Honours degree or other experience which gives evidence of suitabilityApplicants whose first language is not English should have an IELTS score in the range of 6.0 to 7.0, or a TOEFL score of 650 (paper based score) 250 (computer based score) or other equivalent.
