Course Description
In Chinese painting, the flowering plum, orchid, chrysanthemum and the bamboo embody modesty, loyalty, purity and integrity. Collectively, they are known as 'the four gentlemen' and are often the subject a beginner first learns. In this practical module we will study the use of ink brushes and techniques involved in painting 'the four gentlemen'.
