Course Description
This course offers a broad-based approach to fine art. Students will learn about painting, sculpture, printmaking, film and video, photography and installation. They also provide an introduction to key philosophies, issues and relevant historical and contextual frameworks.

Assessment method
Students will be assessed through a range of individual and group projects that will encompass visual research, presentations, practical experimentation, discussion and academic written essays.
Entry Requirements
Students should have completed 160 UCAS points or passed a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design, National Diploma or other preparatory courses in art and design. They must present a portfolio as evidence of creative ability, understanding of developmental processes, curiosity about communications and creative imagination. They must also have completed a 1 year full-time Foundation course in Art and Design or a relevant BTEC diploma course.
