Course Description
In level 1 you will take modules in the elements of the study of art, country house & museum collections, & elective subjects. The following yrs combine art historical studies with material culture, the history & theory of architecture & the decorative arts & museum studies. These modules include a level 2 core course using Harewood House as a resource, part of which is taught there. Close study of a variety of museums and gallery collections throughout Yorkshire is a key element of the programme. There are also modules that consider the role of museums & how objects are displayed & interpreted.

Assessment method
Assessment is by extended essays and a brief examination. Most programmes place some emphasis on examination by the final year dissertation.
