Course Description
The pathways in Architectural Design and Quantity Surveying have been developed in conjunction with employers and interested construction organisations including professional bodies. This will provide a vocationally focussed higher education qualification, which will act as a foundation for a range of experiences in the areas of Architectural Design and Quantity Surveying. This course will provide you with opportunities to develop and demonstrate a wide range of skills, knowledge and understanding that will assist career development in the construction sector. It will also help you to develop transferable skills in the areas of Literacy, Numeracy and IT.

The cost of the programme is £960 per annum

Work-based learning will form part of your assessment.

Entry Requirements
The aim is to offer places to anyone capable of demonstrating the ability and commitment necessary to undertake the course and who is in relevant employment. This will be assessed on an individual basis, but the normal entry requirements are as follows: 100 points with 80 points from at least one A level, 20 points may come from Key Skills, AS or other units. National Certificates or Diplomas in a related subject. An advanced GNVQ/AVCE in a related subject. Completed a Modern Apprenticeship. NVQ 3 in a related subject. Mature people working in the construction sector with sufficient experience. You may be able to claim exemption from some modules if you have achieved appropriate learning outcomes through earlier certificated learning or through appropriate substantial work experience.
