Course Description
This course is a practice based course which focuses on the creation of all aspects of the human habitat: the buildings, spaces and objects which comprise living and working environment. The course enables to consider interventions in the natural and built landscape within a broad context of concerns which include: sustainability, urban regeneration, the maintenance and creation of communities, technology, cultural diversity, the demands of contemporary lifestyle and the quality of life. Student will be encouraged to adopt an international perspective and a sensitivity towards local agendas. The three pathways through the course - Architecture, Artefact and Spatial, with their supporting programmes will equip for the demands of the workplace and further study. Practical and cognitive skills and knowledge are developed through project work, as are the skills of collaborative working and project management. As the course progresses, student will be expected to take increasing responsibility for the detailed direction of studies, reflecting the leading role that are expected to adopt in practice.

Entry Requirements
For entry on to the course student will be expected to have successfully completed Foundation Studies in Art and Design and possess two A-levels and three GCSEs at grade C or above. As part of your application student will be asked to submit a portfolio of art and design work.
