Course Description
This course is about the creative use of drawing and moving image. The course covers a range of subjects from childrens book illustration to storyboarding, as well as traditional and digital animation. Students will use drawing, mixed media and digital media to answer industry-set briefs. Their aim will be to develop an original and technically excellent portfolio.
Course Fees
£2300 for UK and European Union students; £5750 for Non-UK students.
Assessment method
Students will put together a portfolio of work, evidencing the modules of the qualification, which is assessed and moderated as the course progresses.
Entry Requirements
Students should have achieved at least one of the following - A BTEC National Diploma in an appropriate subject or a full advanced GNVQ in Art and Design or a Diploma in Foundation Studies (Art and Design) or One full A Level in an appropriate subject. Students with alternative experience or qualifications may also apply and may be credited with prior learning. As part of the selection process places on the course are offered on the basis of an interview and portfolio of work. If English is not their first language, they will also need an IELTS score of 6.0 or above.
