Course Description
This foundation degree course is a vocational qualification which provides students with the essential key skills and attributes required by the equine industry. The degree can lead to enhanced career options and opens up the possibility of fast tracking to the BSc (Hons) Equine Sports Science. All modules are designed to provide a balance of science, equine management, practical skills and instructional techniques. The course content focuses on the competition horse and on enabling students to study towards the British Horse Society Intermediate Instructor (BHSII) examination.

Assessment method
The course is delivered with a strong emphasis on practical work supported by lectures, seminars, visits and speakers. Examples of assessments are projects, coursework, presentations and examinations
