Course Description
An overview of the climatic factors affecting tropical crop production, and of the diversity of production systems from subsistence growing to export-led, high-tech industries. The impacts of globalisation and liberalisation will be considered. A range of growing systems and specific crops will be reviewed, in the context of possible future developments in tropical horticulture.
