The
University of Wales Trinity Saint David has been created through the
merger of the
University
of Wales Lampeter and
Trinity
University College Carmarthen. The University's Royal Charter is
the oldest in Wales and England outside the universities of Oxford and
Cambridge.
The University provides good quality

friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

The University benefits from having
excellent facilities and is
located
on two campuses in South West Wales - one of the UK's most popular
tourist destinations. Campus facilities in Carmarthen and Lampeter
include student accommodation, library and learning resources centre, a
chapel as well as sports facilities. The
Lampeter
campus boasts the Roderic Bowen Library and Archives which is home
to the University’s special collections and students enjoy excellent
facilities offered in the Students' Union. The
Carmarthen
campus has its own fully equipped theatre, media and tv suites, as
well as a Sports Centre with a health and fitness suite.
The
pastoral care of students is a high priority at the and there is a
strong support team available to help with academic and personal
concerns. The
Student
Services team provides a range of services from careers,
counselling, and accommodation, to advice with obtaining financial help
and the disabled students' allowance, as well as providing students and
graduates with work experience and placements.
The Students'
Union is an important part of life for many students outside their
academic work. The entertainment provided is of good value and quality,
and includes a mixture of live bands, comedians, entertainers, discos
and themed events. The SU is responsible for the University's Clubs and
Societies as well as for fielding sports teams. The Union also provides
a welfare service for students and is active in representing students'
views within the University and externally.
