On this interactive workshop (with Zoe Youngman, who studied Jewellery and Silversmithing at Edinburgh College of Art before working as a designer in industry) you will learn how to identify and interpret emerging trends and develop this information into winning designs. This one day course will start with a short seminar on where trends emerge from, how to map them as they develop and the influence they have over consumers. You will then learn how to do this for yourself by mapping some of the current trends as a group. You will also be provided with the tools to filter out the information relevant to your own customer and how to use this information in an appropriate, saleable design.
