Course Description
This course which introduces the wide range of activities covered by the tourism industry through specialist work related assignments. It covers travel and tourism industry, tourist destinations, customer service, marketing, the business of travel and tourism, working in travel and tourism, cruise sector, passenger transport and hospitality in the travel and tourism industry. Students can progress to employment or degrees or higher national diplomas in travel or tourism management.
Course Fees
Free for students who are aged 16 to 18; £840 for home students aged 19 and over; £4850 for overseas students; £50 registration fee for home students aged 19 and over or overseas students; £150 exam fee for home students aged 19 and over or overseas students; concessions are available for students who are in receipt of benefits
Assessment method
Students will be assessed through portfolio course work.
Entry Requirements
Students should have 4 GCSE grades A-C or merit or distinction at BTEC First Diploma.
Equipment and Materials
Students should bring pen, paper, plastic wallets, file, computer disks or USB memory sticks.
