Course Description
The programme is accredited by British Association of counselling and psychotherapy and the CCPE is a member of the United Kingdom Council for psychotherapy. The programme are eligible for membership of the UKCP register, which opens up opportunities in the health services. The programme is delivered in London, and is designed to train practitioners in the transpersonal approach to counselling and psychotherapy. In transpersonal psychotherapy, personal breakdowns and crises are seen to have a useful purpose in that they act as a warning signal, as well as indicating the way forward in terms of change and growth. Once the crisis is over and the mental condition is stabilised, there is a chance for re-examination, thus preventing a recurrence of the crisis. This involves reassessing personal motivation, sense of purpose and the meaning of life. Much of the counselling and psychotherapeutic work done at the CCPE is based on the fundamental principle of building and expanding on a person's strengths or 'qualities', and in helping the person find their natural rhythm in work and at home. At this point the client is able to sense the right direction and to set goals that give him or her a sense of fulfilment and achievement in life.

Assessment method
Essays,oral and written case studies, observation journals, an oral examination and a final dissertation.

Entry Requirements
Professionally qualified Psychotherapists who are either: Students who have completed the MA in Transpersonal Counselling and Psychotherapy at the CCPE; Students who have completed the Diploma course at the CCPE; Experienced practitioners with appropriate training in a spiritual/transpersonal approach to counselling and psychotherapy from a recognised training centre. In addition applicants are required to have at least 3 years supervised psychotherapy practice. All applicants must hold an honours degree 2:2 minimum, or its educational equivalent, must be registered members of the UKCP, must have completed a minimum of 1000 hours clinical practice.

Venue Description
Childcare facilities are available on site. Early booking of sessions is strongly recommended due to high demand of limited places. Guidance and advice may be available for all aspects of student life. Facilities/Support are available for students whose main language is not English.
