Course Description
This degree is run by the School of Drama, Film & Visual Arts and the programme uses an interdisciplinary approach to study the ways Fine Arts, Drama and Film have contributed to the history of culture. It is specially designed for students who have a broad interest in the arts but who don't want to be restricted to one discipline. The degree is an academic rather than a practical course, and so potential careers include arts administration, or journalism. During your second and third years you have the chance to specialise in either Film or Drama.

Assessment method
VISUAL & PERFORMED ARTS: Part I: 100% coursework (essays, class participation) in the first half of the year, 50:50 combination of coursework & exam in the second half. Part II: depending on the modules, assessment varies from 100% coursework (extended essays or dissertation), to a combination of exam & coursework, in the ratio 50:50, 60:40 or 80:20.
