About The Place2Be

The Place2Be is a national charity providing a range of services targeted at improving children’s and families’ mental health and wellbeing since 1994. Today we are an innovative, growing charity currently working with 172 schools across the UK, supporting a child population of around 58,000.

Professional Qualifications

As part of our core service, The Place2Be offers accredited Professional Qualifications which range from a Taster Day: Counselling Children Workshops to a 15-week Level 3 Foundation Course and a 2-year Post Graduate Diploma. Our courses are accredited by The Open College Network, British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy, and the University of East London.

Course Participants

The Place2Be training provides participants with new skills and strategies to support children’s emotional wellbeing.

Our courses are ideal for those who want to:

• Gain counselling skills to enhance their communication with children
• Pursue a career in child counselling or in the childcare workforce
• Progress to higher level counselling training
• Gain the skills needed to apply for a position as a volunteer counsellor for The Place2Be
