The Business of the Visual Art World course is designed for emerging artists, young galleries and individuals interested in working in this area and leads on from Buying Art Now. The module provides an insight into the management of a gallery and an artist practice. Students will work along with their course tutor and guest speakers on a number of topics, including contracts and agreements, programmes and partnerships, copyright, marketing and branding, e-commerce and pricing structure. We will explore market mechanisms and business planning, and visit an alternative gallery space and an artist studio.
Applicants must be proficient in written and spoken English.
