Course Description
This course will examine the architectural and liturgical development, as well as the financing and organisation, of the medieval Parish Church. Although designed and built for the living, much church architecture, function and liturgy was determined by the needs of the dead. There will be field visits to churches in the locality which will involve some degree of walking over rough ground.
