Course Description
These Mesoamerican cultures all produced unique architectural and art styles; the city of Teotihuacan was built on a grid plan not found among the Maya, whose cities grew organically. The Aztecs built temples on boulder rocks and structures for their kings on mountain tops. The buildiings and sculptures were polychromed and the subject matter revolved around humans, animals and supernaturals.
