Course Description
This certificate consists of a minimum of ten units of study. The Core Units are: Business Management Techniques, Analytical Methods for Engineers, Telecommunication Principles, Digital Networks, Project, Data Communication and Networks. There is a choice of four specialist units which include: Optical Fibre, Communications Signal Processing, Networking, PC Systems, Transmission Lines, Digital and Analogue Devices, Microprocessors, Engineering Design, Radio Communication Engineering, Operational Amplifiers, ECad and Health and Safety.

Assessment is mainly through assignment work, but also through phase tests and/or end tests in some modules.
