Course Description
There is an increasing demand for managers to understand the technology used in modern industry and commerce and to assess and evaluate emerging technologies. This programme provides the balance between developing the management skills with an understanding of new technologies and their impact on businesses. The technology base draws on engineering and science disciplines and includes studies in materials technology, engineering technology, IT as well as the maths and computing applications to support these areas. The management base includes themes such as the business environment, accounting, project management and human resource management. You choose either to study for 3-years full-time or four-year sandwich programme which includes the third year in a paid professional placement. Assessment is by a combination of exams, case studies, design projects and continuous assessment.
