About this course

This qualification is required for all numeracy specialist teachers not regarded as qualified pre-September 2007, but who have DTLLS or equivalent e.g. 7407. It comprises two modules and carries 45 credits. Candidates must have access to at least 75 numeracy teaching practice hours across at least 2 levels. It can be studied as part of the optional units for PGCE or DTLLS. The additional diploma is an ideal ‘conversion’ course for those who are already qualified teachers, but who wish to specialise as a teacher of numeracy.
