A Taste Of Tango

A TASTE OF TANGO

Tango embraces London with a taste of tango.
Classes, courses, taster workshops, private lessons and social dancing.

What people are saying. (taken from our website)

"a fantastic introduction to tango. Each week new elements are introduced, starting with correct posture, weight shifting and walking (sounds simple but it's not!), progressing to the hold, how to lead and follow and basic steps, including adornos and ochos. The importance of connection and the exchange of energy are also explained. Jenny is a fantastic teacher friendly, informative, encouraging and attentive. Her enthusiasm and love for tango is evident and catching!

"Just wanted to say a quick thank you for the great lesson yesterday - I really enjoyed being able to go back and concentrate on some fundamentals. It's great to be pushed and challenged to learn something that is so much fun no matter how hard and elusive some parts of it feel at times!"

Course description

Learning Tango...

is easy with this introduction that gets to grips with some basics. Perfect for anyone who has never danced Tango before. This includes; wallflowers, classically trained ballerinas, boys being dragged along by girls, and especially if you already dance salsa or lindy hop.

Easy does it...

Embracing and connecting to your partner, walking to the music and a simple idea of tango movement to get you started, plus tips on etiquette to keep you from looking like a tourist when you visit a milonga.

Why we do it this way...

Honestly? To stop people putting roses in their mouths and risking whiplash with head flicks. Tango is improvised, organic, elegant and sensual. Prepare to be challenged and have a giggle.
