Each week new elements are introduced, starting with correct posture, weight shifting and walking (sounds simple but it's not!), progressing to the hold, how to lead and follow and basic steps, including adornos and ochos. The importance of connection and the exchange of energy are also explained. Jenny is a fantastic teacher friendly, informative, encouraging and attentive. Her enthusiasm and love for tango is evident and catching!

Whilst Tango is not something you can put a timeframe on for learning, this course will give you a solid foundation of useful dancing elements to improvise with in your dancing. It is only possible to book with a partner.
Jenney Surelia draws on her knowledge and experience as a dancer and teacher, to expand on a different Tango element each week. We spend time focusing on technique, body alignment and posture and using guided discovery, you're taken on a tango journey searching for dancing that is creative, communicative and connected. Whatever the theme may be, musicality, dialogue, connection, the embrace or figures, you're encouraged to build on your skills every week and develop the kind of dancing that is a delight to see and dance in the milongas.
This course runs for 8 consecutive weeks is limited to 9 couples. Places can only be booked in couples.
If the course is full for the date you wanted to book, you will be able to get your name on a waiting list. To get your name on the list, send us a message, and we will send you a PayPal payment request, once this is completed will your name go onto the list. If there are enough people (9 couples) we'll put another course on if not your money will be refunded.
If you don't have a partner, send us a message through the contact page and if we can pair you up we will. This helping hand should not be confused with dating agency or taxi dancer services, so please please please try to find someone yourself, a work colleague, friend, family member, pet, well maybe not a pet.
