Course Description
The Television and Film industries are rapidly expanding areas with constantly changing technology. If you have a passion for creating moving images and want to acquire the appropriate technical skills through the exploration of lens-based, time-based, traditional and digital processes, then this could be the course for you. Specialist modules will allow students to study both TV Production (documentary, news, factual reporting) and Film Production (drama, documentary, scriptwriting). Industrial links, live briefs, work placements, competitions and visiting professionals are an essential feature of this degree and will help you to understand and compete within the TV & Film industries. Practical skills will be integrated with a range of theoretical contexts, which will allow students to develop critical awareness. Students can study on either a full-time or part-time basis, making it an ideal opportunity to study for those who are already in work and want to improve their skills and qualifications and career prospects. By the end of the second level you will be ready for employment, or for progression to stage 3 of the BA(Hons)Media Arts Practice (TV & Film Production) at the University of Teesside.

Entry Requirements
Relevant art and design qualification (Diploma in Foundation Studies, BTEC National Diploma, appropriate GCE A Levels, relevant Access course, or equivalent), plus a portfolio of your existing work.
