This course module reviews the law governing business transfers, the HR context to TUPE, as well as its significance to contracting out. It provides clarification and guidance on this complex area of the law following the 2006 Regulations. By the end of the course participants will be able to: understand when TUPE applies, who is covered and what is transferred; advise on and apply the key legal principles surrounding TUPE; manage the change process, including communication and the media; and demonstrate and promote HR best practice.
