Course Description
The MSc in Sustainable Building Technology is specifically tailored towards graduates in building services, architectural environmental engineering, architecture and other related disciplines. The strong emphasis is targeted to successful integration of renewable and sustainable energy technologies into buildings, which requires an understanding of both design and technology and hence the close co-operation of architecture and engineering. The course is therefore designed to allow discussion and exchange of information between different disciplines and encourage novel and imaginative solutions to the challenge of producing environmentally friendly buildings. The programme is set within the Institute for Sustainable Energy Technology. As part of its remit, the School of the Built Environment aims to develop your vocational skills and the environmentally responsible attitude necessary in today's rapidly changing world. You may have the opportunity to attended conferences, seminars and training courses both in the UK and abroad.

Assessment method
This course comprises 180 credits, split across 120 credits' worth of taught modules and a 60-credit dissertation. To be allowed to register for a dissertation, you must achieve an average mark of 50 percent or above in both the autumn and spring semesters.
