About this course

Strength and Conditioning MSc: This course provides opportunities to develop knowledge and understanding of the principles and theories of strength and conditioning and their application to vocational and sporting practice; opportunities are provided to study a wide range of research findings, theories and methodologies across the field of strength and conditioning; students develop a critical awareness of how to apply theories and methodologies in appropriate ways in the development of strength and conditioning; students develop an awareness of ethical issues as they relate to the field and develop research skills and professional competencies; students develop the necessary comprehensive and critical understanding of techniques or methodologies appropriate to research and advanced scholarship by learning through practical workshops, laboratories, tutorials, seminars, experiential learning and student-led research projects.


Biomechanics and anatomy of movement in sport; sport and exercise physiology; strength and conditioning: theory, practice and personal development; sport and exercise research project; understanding research in sport and exercise science.
