There is a daily drop in session between 11am and 1pm for students who may need financial, personal or health advice. The college has a Learning Advice Centre to help students. Before enrolling on a course students may need specialist advice and guidance, and in some cases they may need to have an interview. In many cases the college will be able to help immediately but sometimes it may need to take the student’s details and pass them onto a specialist member of staff who will then contact them. In the first instance students should contact the Learning Advice Centre on 01789 296696.

Counselling can also be arranged for students who feel they would benefit from it. At the college there are staff trained to help students with welfare and counselling needs, including liaison with the DSS and external agencies. Matters concerning the Students' Union and recreation activities are also co-ordinated through Counselling and Welfare.
