Course Description
The aim of the course is to continue the professional development of those in accounting and finance and those who want to stay at the forefront of the finance profession as industry thinkers and leaders. It has two main components: the contemporary issues component and the dissertation. The contemporary issues component - exposes students to a series of lectures on a range of leading-edge topics delivered by a panel of international experts. Contemporary issues topics include: e-business and the management accountant, economic value added, performance management, including the balanced scorecard, private finance initiative and resource accounting. The dissertation component enables students to build upon the insights gained from these experts by carrying out a practical research project investigating a problem that is relevant to them and their organisation. In order to equip students for this task, they receive in-depth tuition in research skills and methods.

Entry Requirements
This MSc is intended for those who have gained (or are eligible to gain) membership of one of the CCAB professional accounting bodies including ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ICAEW, ICAI, ICAS, or overseas equivalent.
