Course Description
Statistical methods are widely used in areas such as sales and marketing, quality control, forecasting and logistics. Statisticians use their knowledge of mathematical and computational techniques to collect, organise and analyse data and draw conclusions (inferences) that can be used in problem-solving and decision-making. The Statistics field at Kingston focuses on the applied aspects of the subject - all modules have been designed to prepare you to use statistics in a 'real life' context. Our programme provides both a set of useful skills to complement your other field and a firm grounding for a career as a statistician. It assumes no prior knowledge of the subject.

Assessment method
Your progress on each module will be monitored either by coursework or a combination of coursework and exam. Assessments may include in-class tests, individual or group case studies and oral presentations. Examinations can be written or practical.
