SFX has a reputation for high quality sixth form education, a tradition well established in its Community Education programme and as a Microsoft IT Academy.

Our wide ranges of classes are open to everyone aged 19 and over. There is no Borough or upper age restrictions. Courses run on a termly basis three times each academic year and enrolments are accepted throughout the year. Whether you want to learn for leisure, pleasure or to improve a skill, SFX is an outstanding college which Community Education has been a part of for more than 10 years providing enjoyable, well taught classes which many people return to term after term.

What's on offer
Learn to speak Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Mandarin or Japanese at SFX, in the evenings, from beginners to advanced level in relaxed but stimulating classes with experienced tutors who are passionate about helping adults develop their language skills. Conversational language classes during the daytime are very popular, lively and engaging.

Rejuvenate both body and mind in a peaceful, focused evening exercise class: Pilates and Yoga are on offer for fitness and wellbeing along with Indian Head Massage or Aromatherapy. More vigorous exercisers have the opportunity to take up circuit training, aerobics, dance (eg Tap, French Jive, Zumba or Salsa) or enrol to use the state of the art fitness gym suite, which is open to adults as part of the community education programme. All fitness classes are taught under the guidance of an experienced trainer.

Develop or improve artistic and creative talents in an art for all, life drawing, creative writing, knitting, jewellery making, leathercraft, crafts or floristry class or broaden your performance or musical talent in a drama, vocal-skills, song-writing, singing or guitar group. Enjoy and discuss films from around the world in the cinema class or develop your digital still or movie photography skills. All this is on offer - see our prospectus.

Relax and explore different wines (complemented by delicious food) in a wine appreciation or "know your wine" class presented by experts from the Wine and Food Academy - extremely popular term after term.
